A teacher at a Connecticut magnet school was charged yesterday with sexually assaulting a student following an investigation into another teacher’s alleged sexual relationship with a student.
Anastasia Gagnon, 20, of Willimantic, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. The choreographer and dance instructor at the Capitol Theater Arts Academy, Willimantic, turned herself in to state police in Tolland.
She was later arraigned at Rockville Superior Court and posted $15,000 bail.
Gagnon is accused of having a sexual relationship ,and having sex on two occasions, with a 15-year-old girl. She no longer works at the school.
Police say they learned of the relationship during an investigation of another teacher.
