A fleeing suspect was hit by a police patrol car and killed in the early hours of this morning in northwest Houston.
Police officers responded to a call about a disturbance at T.C. Jester near Cherry Forest at about 12:30 a.m. and found a man who appeared to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
The man was chased by an officer on foot. Another officer drove after the man and tried to block him from getting away but was hit by the patrol car, said Houston Police Department.
The man was pinned under the car and officers tried to revive him with CPR.
It is unclear what the disturbance was about or why the man ran away from the police.
