British financial adviser fights for life after Bahamas shooting

A British financial adviser is fighting for his life in a hospital in The Bahamas after being ambushed on his way to work and shot in the head execution style.

Jermain Defoe’s brother dies after street attack

The half brother of Tottenham Hotspur and England star Jermain Defoe has died as a result of a street attack in east London.
Jade Defoe, 26, suffered serious head injuries in the attack on Monday afternoon in Leytonstone, east London, and died in hospital last night.

WHO chief says swine flu outbreak has ‘pandemic potential’

The head of the World Health Organization warned today that the outbreak of new multi-strain swine flu in Mexico has a “pandemic potential”.
The virus has killed up to 60 people in Mexico and spread into the United States. Eight non-fatal infections have occurred in California and Texas.
