$2.4bn debt forces Six Flags to file for bankruptcy

Amusement park company Six Flags today filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware after failing to reach an agreement with lenders on its debt.
The theme park operator, which had $2.4 billion in debt, faced nearly $300 million in payments to preferred stockholders due in August.

A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a North Carolina woman in her home after her husband allegedly arranged the attack through an advert on Craigslist.
