Man accused of impersonating his dead mother

A New York man was charged today with impersonating his deceased mother so that he could collect $117,000 in government benefits.
Thomas Parkin, 49, of Park Slope, and his accomplice Mhilton Rimolo, 47, pleaded not guilty to grand larceny, criminal impersonation, forgery and conspiracy. Both men were ordered held on $1 million bail.
