A New Jersey mother today attacked the man who molested her 14-year-old daughter and inappropriately touched her teenage friend just moments before he was sentenced in court.
The 41-year-old mother started pummeling Pascual Gonzalez, 39, of Roxbury, in a corridor at the Superior Court in Morristown.
The mother, from Dover, was restrained by Morris County Sheriff’s officers. She told them that Gonzalez made the comment that her daughter was “good”.
Father-of-four Gonzalez insisted he made no such comment.
He was sentenced to five years in prison.
The volunteer baseball and basketball coach pleaded guilty in January to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl over a three-month period that ended last August and to harassing a second, 14-year-old girl.
The same mother allegedly beat Gonzales with a baseball bat when she learned last August that he had been sexually abusing her daughter.
She has yet to appear at Dover Municipal Court on a charge of assault. She has not been charged over today’s attack.
After the attack in the corridor, Gonzalez told sheriff’s officers he wanted to file charges against the mother.
But standing before Superior Court Judge John B. Dangler, Gonzalez was teary-eyed and apologetic for his crimes.
“I wish this had never, ever, ever happened. I wish I could take it back. I really do,” Gonzalez said.
