By Calvin Palmer

A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a North Carolina woman in her home after her husband allegedly arranged the attack through an advert on Craigslist.

Rodney Liverman Sr, 39, of Norwood, was arrested at his home yesterday. He is charged with first-degree rape and remains in jail on a $250,000 bond.

Kannapolis police said that Craigslist had helped them trace Liverman.

Police Capt Chuck Adams also said they received assistant from the U.S. Secret Service to track him down.

The 25-year-old husband is accused of arranging to have Liverman attack his wife while he watched on May 31.

He is being held in jail on $200,000 bond and has been charged with first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual offense and attempted first-degree sexual offense.

The husband has not been named in order to protect his wife’s identity.
